On November 17, Gustavo Menéndez, Mayor of Merlo City and Secretary of International Relations of Argentina’s Justicialist Party, led a delegation to Fengtai District, Beijing, visiting IBI and holding talks with Deputy District Chief Lin Yanhong. Discussions focused on economic and trade cooperation, industrial alignment (especially in agriculture, logistics, and digital transformation), and friendship city development. IBI showcased its digital supply chain and cross-border e-commerce expertise; Merlo highlighted its strengths in agro-processing and logistics. Both sides agreed to advance pragmatic collaboration—including Argentine soybean/beef exports, Chinese fertilizer imports, overseas warehouses, and joint industrial parks—while promoting cultural and educational exchanges. The visit established a government-enterprise communication mechanism, enriching China-Argentina local cooperation and supporting the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership.
