Highlights at a glance
The European Commission forecasts EU oilseed production to reach 32.55 million tons in 2026/27, a 0.7% monthly increase driven by higher rapeseed and sunflower yields. Crushing demand rises 3.6% year-on-year to 48.21M tons, while ending stocks dip 4.9%. Vegetable oil output climbs 4.4% to 16.85M tons, supported by gains in sunflower and rapeseed oil. Imports of oilseeds rise slightly, but vegetable oil imports fall 4.8%, mainly due to lower palm and rapeseed oil. Meal production and domestic use also show moderate growth.
