The Second Guangzhou Ship Management Technology Exchange Conference was successfully held.

On September 19, the Second Guangzhou Ship Technical Management Exchange Conference was successfully held at the Guangzhou International Shipping Building. The conference was themed "Advancing Technical Management, Strengthening the Foundation of Shipping."

With the guidance and support of the Guangzhou Maritime Safety Administration and the Guangzhou Branch of China Classification Society, the event was jointly organized by the Guangdong Society of Internal Combustion Engines and the Electromechanical Committee of the Guangdong Maritime Society.

It also received strong support from COSCO Shipping Bulk Co., Ltd. Representatives from maritime regulatory bodies, classification societies, academic institutions, shipping companies, as well as the ship equipment and technical service sectors gathered in Guangzhou to share experiences and exchange practices on topics such as ship safety operations, green energy, technical retrofitting, and technical management.

Against the backdrop of digitalization, intelligence, and green low-carbon transformation in shipping, advancing ship technical management and standardizing technical operations are key to ensuring safe ship operations, enhancing corporate efficiency, and promoting high-quality industry development. The conference featured a full-day technical exchange session, divided into three phases with 15 professional technical reports. Industry experts and technical professionals conducted in-depth discussions on practical topics such as ship safety operations, green energy applications, intelligent equipment management, technical retrofitting and upgrades, fault handling, and spare parts service assurance. The content covered frontline priorities such as the development of new energy ships, dual-fuel engine management, the application of intelligent detection systems, and ship equipment maintenance and retrofitting, aligning with the actual needs of the industry.

From equipment defects in ballast water systems to key points in managing dual-fuel engines; from repair processes and spare parts assurance to green energy and technical retrofitting, this exchange conference focused on specific topics in technical management, integrating resources from regulatory, research, and industrial sectors. It established an efficient platform for technical sharing and experience exchange, effectively addressing multiple practical challenges in ship technical management.
