The "CMA CGM Palais Royal" is 399 meters long, 61.3 meters wide, and 33.5 meters deep, with a design draft of 14.5 meters. It can carry nearly 24,000 standard containers, equivalent to the load of 480 China-Europe trains, with a maximum stacking layer of 24 layers, equivalent to the height of a 25-story building. The ship is equipped with an 18,000 cubic meter MARK III LNG fuel tank, providing a clean power range of nearly 20,000 nautical miles. Compared to traditional fuel ships, carbon dioxide emissions are reduced by about 20%, nitrogen oxides by 85%, and particulate matter and sulfur oxides by 99%, fully meeting the world's strictest environmental standards.
This ship, named after a landmark cultural site in Paris, will be put into operation on the Mediterranean route, injecting new momentum into global trade and contributing new strength to the sustainable development of shipping. CMA CGM Group stated that the four world's largest 24,000 TEU liquefied natural gas (LNG) dual-fuel powered container ships built by Hudong-Zhonghua are of extraordinary significance to the CMA CGM Group, playing a crucial role in promoting the energy transition and global shipping decarbonization process of the CMA CGM Group.
