China’s logistics industry recorded a 5.2% year-on-year increase in total revenue during the first two months of the year.
Recently, the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing released data showing that in the first two months of this year, the total revenue of China's logistics industry reached 2 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.2%, achieving a stable start.
From January to February, the average prosperity index of China's logistics industry was 49.4%, indicating steady recovery across the sector. Contract orders for supply chain services from key logistics enterprises increased by 21% year-on-year, and integrated supply chain services are accelerating penetration. The comprehensive transportation system operated efficiently, with significant progress in multimodal transport becoming a standout feature of industry development. Among these, the Yangtze River Delta's rail-sea intermodal transport volume grew by 23% year-on-year, while Nanchang's rail-sea intermodal transport and river-sea intermodal transport completed a year-on-year increase of 26.9% in foreign trade container volume. The promotion of the "single document system" for multimodal transport accelerated, further highlighting the foundational role of water transport in the multimodal transport system, and overall transportation efficiency continued to improve. The China-Europe freight train service operated a total of 3,501 trains, a year-on-year increase of 31.7%.
Overall, in the first two months, China's social logistics operations were stable and orderly, and the first quarter is expected to maintain a steady and progressive development trend. As the construction of a unified national market advances in depth, various actions to reduce logistics costs, improve quality, and enhance efficiency are being fully implemented. Water transport, as an important support for the comprehensive transportation system, will play an increasingly solid role in facilitating domestic and international dual circulation and serving national strategies.
