The China Shipbuilding Industry Association and the People’s Government of Taizhou City signed a strategic cooperation agreement.
On March 25, the China Shipbuilding Industry Association and the Taizhou Municipal Government officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties will use this cooperation as a link to focus on promoting Taizhou's high-tech shipbuilding and marine engineering equipment industry towards high-end, intelligent, and green development, further solidifying the foundation for the development of the "Tongtaiyang" national-level advanced manufacturing cluster, and assisting in the deep and practical construction of China's maritime power. Li Yanqing, Vice President and Secretary-General of the China Shipbuilding Industry Association, Li Hui, Deputy Secretary of the Taizhou Municipal Party Committee, and Qin Meng, Member of the Standing Committee of the Taizhou Municipal Party Committee and Executive Deputy Mayor of the Taizhou Municipal Government, attended the signing ceremony.
Li Yanqing pointed out that the China Shipbuilding Industry Association has always taken serving national strategies and empowering high-quality industry development as its core mission. Taizhou, as an important base for the national shipbuilding and marine engineering industry, has distinctive industrial cluster characteristics, a well-supported industrial chain, and abundant innovation development vitality, providing a solid foundation for advancing towards a world-class industrial highland. The association will take this strategic cooperation as an opportunity to fully leverage its advantages as an industry bridge, think tank support, resource integration, and international cooperation, providing comprehensive support to Taizhou in building innovation platforms, connecting market resources, enhancing international influence, gathering and cultivating talent, and promoting technology-driven safety, thereby assisting the local area in gathering high-quality resources from the industrial chain, cultivating a high-end industrial ecosystem, and injecting strong industry momentum into the construction of the "Tongtaiyang" world-class shipbuilding and marine engineering industry cluster.
Li Hui stated that the shipbuilding and marine engineering industry is the core pillar of Taizhou's construction of the "New Morning of the Sea" modern industrial system, and it is also an important means for Taizhou to integrate into the national maritime power strategy and participate in the coordinated development of advanced manufacturing in the Yangtze River Delta. By 2025, Taizhou's shipbuilding completion volume and order volume will account for over 18% domestically, with the high-tech shipbuilding industry chain's output value reaching 93.82 billion yuan. Leading enterprises such as Yangtze River Shipbuilding, New Era Shipbuilding, Port Shipbuilding, and Sanfu Shipbuilding have prominent leading roles, while supporting enterprises like Yaxing Anchor Chain, Zhaosheng Air Conditioning, and Antarctic Machinery occupy important positions in global niche fields, forming a complete industrial ecosystem from assembly manufacturing to core support, from technology research and development to production application. The "Fifteenth Five-Year Plan" period is a critical stage for upgrading and strengthening Taizhou's shipbuilding and marine engineering industry. This strategic cooperation with the China Shipbuilding Association has built a higher-level platform for Taizhou's industrial development and injected new development momentum. Taizhou will take the signing of the agreement as an opportunity to deepen comprehensive, multi-level, and regular cooperation with the association, fully relying on the association's professional guidance and resource advantages, focusing on key directions such as green intelligent transformation, industrial chain collaborative breakthroughs, and international market expansion, continuously solidifying the industrial foundation, enhancing the core competitiveness of the industry, and striving to showcase Taizhou's role and contribute Taizhou's strength in the national shipbuilding industry's high-quality development landscape.
Before and after the signing ceremony, Li Yanqing and his team also conducted in-depth research at local shipbuilding and marine engineering backbone enterprises such as Taizhou Port Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., Taizhou Sanfu Shipbuilding Engineering Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Zhaosheng Air Conditioning Co., Ltd., and Jiangsu Antarctic Machinery Co., Ltd., gaining detailed insights into the enterprises' product research and development, production and manufacturing, market layout, and green intelligent transformation. They highly affirmed the achievements made by the enterprises in high-end ship type construction and breakthroughs in core support technologies, and engaged in in-depth exchanges with the enterprises based on industry development trends.
Relevant department heads of the China Shipbuilding Industry Association, as well as responsible officials from Taizhou's Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, Bureau of Transportation, and Jingjiang, Taixing, Taizhou Pharmaceutical High-tech Zone (Gaogang District), participated in the signing event.
