Young people from both sides of the Taiwan Strait boarded the "Sea Patrol 06" ship to pursue the root of the ship's administration.

On the morning of July 25, more than 50 students from both sides of the Taiwan Strait gathered by the Minjiang River to jointly explore the origins, inheritance, and development of modern China's shipbuilding culture. They visited China's current main large-scale maritime patrol and rescue ship, experiencing the inseparable historical ties between the two sides through the integration of history and modernity, and using the sea as a medium to enhance cultural identity.

In the Shipbuilding Culture Museum, the century-old maritime heritage builds a spiritual bridge across the strait. Young people from both sides retraced the shared maritime development history of modern Fujian and Taiwan through historical documents, images, and artifacts. Old archives and photographs recorded segments of forgotten history, narrating the profound connection between shipbuilding and the treasure island.

The "Haixun 06," the largest patrol and rescue ship in the Taiwan Strait, welcomed young people from Taiwan for the third time. The ship is 128.6 meters long, with a full-load displacement of 6,645 tons. It is equipped with advanced maritime search and rescue facilities, including a helicopter landing platform, dynamic positioning, electro-optical search, and a remote medical rewarming room. Under the guidance of maritime personnel, young people from both sides visited functional areas such as the bridge, helicopter deck, rescue deck, and medical rewarming room. They observed up close the systems onboard the "Haixun 06," including oil spill monitoring, microwave transmission, ship-to-shore integrated command and decision-making, and helicopter deck operations, gaining an in-depth understanding of the modernization achievements of the mainland's maritime search and rescue efforts.

According to a relevant official from the Fujian Maritime Safety Administration, since 2019, the Fujian Maritime Safety Administration has collaborated with the Provincial Taiwan Federation and other related organizations to hold multiple cross-strait youth cultural exchange activities. The administration will continue to use maritime culture as a link, fully leveraging its maritime role to contribute greater efforts to exploring new paths for cross-strait integrated development.
