On March 3, 2024, Qingdao Port, a port in Shandong Province, successfully completed the first batch of green methanol "ship-to-ship" refueling operations for two ships on international voyages. The operation was carried out by the methanol refueling ship "Jianhang Lida". Its core innovation lies in the adoption of the mode of "side operation and side filling". The whole process did not cause any interference to the normal production operation of the wharf, thus realizing the double improvement of efficiency and environmental protection. This milestone event marks that Qingdao Port has officially become the first port in northern my country that can provide normalized green methanol filling services. As an important clean marine fuel, the normal operation of green methanol filling service not only improves the comprehensive service capacity and international competitiveness of Qingdao Port, but also reflects the active implementation of the "double carbon" strategy by Chinese ports, which helps the energy transformation and green development of the global shipping industry, and provides a practical example for more ports to promote clean energy filling service in the future.

On March 3, Qingdao Port in Shandong completed the first batch of green methanol "ship-to-ship" refueling operations for two international sailing vessels. The entire operation did not affect the normal production of the terminal, achieving a breakthrough of "simultaneous operation and refueling." This marks Qingdao Port as the first port in the north to achieve regular green methanol refueling services.
