Shouguang Port Opens New Channel of "Yingkou-Shouguang-Gaoqing" Container Sea-river Intermodal Transport
Recently, the "Guoyan Star 2" vessel, fully loaded with containers, successfully docked at the Bohai Bay Port Shouguang Port Area in Shandong, marking the official opening of the new "Yingkou-Shouguang-Gaoqing" container sea-river intermodal transport channel. This is another landmark achievement for Bohai Bay Port in deepening sea-river intermodal transport and expanding container business, adding a new efficient logistics channel to the Xiaoqing River "Golden Waterway".

Facing the development bottleneck of a relatively single cargo structure and limited cargo source expansion, Shouguang Port Area, guided by market demand and driven by route development, actively optimizes cargo structure and broadens cargo source channels. The new channel adopts a seamless "sea transport + inland river" connection mode throughout the journey. Cargo is loaded onto ships at Yingkou Port, transported directly to Shouguang Port Area by the adapted vessel "Guoyan Star 2", and then transferred to the "Qinghe Ji" series of inland river vessels along the Xiaoqing River directly to Gaoqing Port, forming a complete intermodal transport loop from "Northern Coastal - Bohai Bay Hub - Central Shandong Hinterland". The entire ship's containers are loaded and unloaded once, with direct delivery throughout, which shortens transfer time and reduces comprehensive logistics costs, providing a more economical, stable, and green transportation solution for enterprises along the route.
The opening of the new channel not only fills the business gap of container sea-river intermodal transport from Yingkou to Shouguang but also closely links northern cargo sources with the demands of Gaoqing and inland industries, effectively promoting the efficient circulation of key materials such as building materials and chemicals, and aiding the green transformation of regional logistics from "road to water". As the route operation becomes regular, the shipping in the Xiaoqing River basin will be further activated, injecting strong momentum into the coordinated development of the regional economy.
