Zhangzhou united multiple departments to carry out a water and land traffic safety campaign in schools.
To further promote water and land transportation safety knowledge, strengthen the campus traffic safety protection network, and fully utilize the role of "educating students, influencing families, and impacting society," on the afternoon of September 14, the Yunxiao County Education Bureau and Transportation Bureau of Zhangzhou City, together with Zhangzhou Dongshan Maritime Office and Dongshan Navigation Mark Management Station, visited Yunxiao County Experimental Primary School to carry out the themed publicity activity "Safe Water and Land Accompany Growth, Traffic Safety Enters Campus," bringing a lively and interesting water and land traffic safety education class to more than 150 students.

At the beginning of the activity, the school leaders gave an opening speech, explaining the importance of this traffic safety lecture to the students and encouraging them to seriously learn about water and land travel safety knowledge. They emphasized not only learning to protect their own safety but also striving to become family safety ambassadors, bringing the safety knowledge they learned back home, reminding family members to travel safely, and passing on the safety concept to every family member.

In the land traffic safety class, staff from the Yunxiao County Transportation Bureau explained safety precautions for crossing roads, riding in vehicles, electric bike riding regulations, methods to identify "illegal vehicles," and key points for avoiding road hazards, focusing on daily road travel scenarios. The lecture included interactive quiz questions close to daily life, such as "Spot the Danger: Sharpen Your Eyes to Identify Risks," using a lively and interesting format to guide children to identify and learn to discourage uncivilized traffic behaviors. Faced with practical questions like "How old must you be to legally ride an electric bike on the road?" and "What is the safest way for children under 6 to ride on an electric bike?" students boldly answered based on what they learned in class, keeping traffic safety firmly in mind.

In the water traffic safety class, lecturers from Zhangzhou Dongshan Maritime Office and Dongshan Navigation Mark Management Station, considering the cognitive characteristics of primary school students, used simple and understandable language to teach students about ferry boarding regulations, drowning prevention tips, and basic knowledge of navigation marks. They listed various dangerous behaviors on the water and explained practical knowledge such as self-rescue after falling into the water and seeking help on the water. During the interactive Q&A session, with questions like "What should you pay attention to when taking a ferry?" and "What are the types of navigation marks?" students eagerly raised their hands to answer, creating a lively atmosphere. In the life jacket wearing practice session, the lecturers demonstrated the correct wearing steps on-site, guiding students step by step to fasten buckles, adjust tightness, and check for security, allowing each student to practice hands-on and master the skills proficiently. This effectively enhanced their ability to self-rescue in water emergencies and reinforced water traffic safety knowledge through fun interactions.

This activity combined knowledge explanation with fun interactions, enabling students to systematically master methods for identifying water and land travel risks and self-protection skills. It aimed to use students as a bridge to promote traffic safety knowledge beyond the classroom and into families. Moving forward, the relevant units will continue to deepen traffic safety education, innovate publicity methods, and persistently advance water and land safety knowledge into campuses and families. By "educating one child and influencing one family," the goal is to foster a positive social atmosphere where everyone pays attention to traffic safety.
