On August 23, due to the approaching Typhoon "Saola," the "Longyashi" light buoy at the Minjiang Estuary under the jurisdiction of the Fuzhou Navigation Mark Office drifted, causing damage to its navigational aid function. This navigation mark plays a crucial role in guiding vessels under 500 tons within the channel and ensuring the safe passage of returning fishing boats. After the incident, the Fuzhou Navigation Mark Office promptly activated its emergency repair plan for navigation marks, taking advantage of favorable sea conditions before the typhoon's impact. The emergency repositioning of the drifting light buoy was efficiently completed, promptly eliminating potential navigation safety hazards.

Proactive measures strengthen the "responsibility chain" for ensuring smooth navigation. During typhoon defense, the Fuzhou Navigation Mark Office reinforced responsibilities at all levels and built a robust prevention and control system, laying a solid foundation for ensuring smooth navigation. After the typhoon response was initiated, the office strictly implemented a 24-hour duty and remote monitoring system, tracked the typhoon's path in real-time, and ensured smooth information transmission. All grassroots stations conducted comprehensive hazard inspections, increased the frequency of navigation mark patrols in the jurisdiction's waterways and key areas, and fully prepared personnel, vessels, materials, and equipment for emergencies. On the morning of the incident, the navigation mark monitoring platform issued a warning, detecting an abnormal position of the "Longyashi" light buoy. After several hours of continuous work, the "Longyashi" light buoy was successfully repositioned, with its location accurate, lights functioning normally, and remote monitoring signals stably transmitted, fully restoring its navigational aid function.
