On the afternoon of March 4, the Sichuan delegation of the Fourth Session of the Fourteenth National People's Congress held a plenary meeting at their residence. Wang Xiaohui, Secretary of the Sichuan Provincial Committee, Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, and head of the delegation, presided over the meeting. Shi Xiaolin, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Committee, Governor, and Deputy Head of the delegation, attended.
The meeting discussed and approved 17 proposals submitted in the name of the Sichuan delegation and submitted them to the conference secretariat as required.
These 17 group proposals are mainly divided into five categories: four on infrastructure, three on social livelihood, six on development policies, two on reform and innovation, and two on the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle. They include suggestions on supporting the construction of major water resource allocation projects and enhancing the water security capability of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, supporting Sichuan in accelerating the creation of an internationally competitive digital industry cluster, accelerating the construction of ecological waterways in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River to aid high-quality economic development in the region, supporting the vigorous development of low-altitude detection, certification, and security, supporting Chengdu in creating the first batch of national new industrialization demonstration zones, planning future industry pilot zones in Sichuan, supporting Sichuan in building national large model training grounds and robot training grounds, promoting the construction of the Yibin-Xichang-Panzhihua high-speed railway during the "Fifteenth Five-Year Plan" period, accelerating the full connection of the Minjiang Tianfu water transport main channel to help the Chengdu Plain Economic Zone deeply integrate into the Yangtze River Economic Belt, optimizing urban renewal policies, strengthening care for elderly people with disabilities and dementia, etc. (Special correspondent from Sichuan Newspaper Group, Fu Zhenqing)
