The Youthful "Voices" Riding the Waves: A Tribute to the Beihai Maritime Safety Center's Integrated Media Studio
In the vast northern sea area, there is a youthful team with an average age of less than 28. They connect the expectations of sailors through screens, break professional barriers with creativity, and bring the somewhat obscure term "maritime navigation support" into the public eye. They are the "Beibao Media Integration" team. In August 2025, the Beihai Maritime Navigation Support Center Media Integration Studio was officially established, along with this vibrant media team and their account "Maritime Guardians." Their communication philosophy is "making navigation safer, services more precise, and protection warmer."
Matrix Voice: Telling Good Transportation Stories
The team adheres to using publicity to build consensus, focusing on the core responsibilities of maritime navigation support, carefully selecting topics, deeply cultivating planning, ensuring proper guidance, maintaining strict standards, and improving quality.
Focusing on areas such as the National People's Congress and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, learning and practicing the correct view of political achievements, and intelligent shipping, they released short video content such as "Understanding the Political Achievement View Emphasized by the General Secretary," "Intelligent Shipping 2030 Action Plan Released," and "Our '14th Five-Year Plan.'" These efforts ensure that the voice of the Party and the country reaches the grassroots, resonates deeply, and touches hearts.
The team has built a four-platform communication matrix on "Douyin, Video Accounts, Bilibili, and Xuexi Qiangguo," continuously producing short video content that resonates with the public. By analyzing the differences in user attributes, algorithm mechanisms, and content formats across platforms, the team has gradually explored differentiated operational methods. They lead netizens in immersive experiences of the real work of lighthouse keepers and navigation marker personnel, vividly presenting frontline work scenarios such as navigation marker inspections, buoy replacements, full-coverage communication perception construction in the Bohai Sea area, maritime emergency rescue drills, and Spring Festival travel route escorts. Over the past year, they have created more than 400 short videos, reaching approximately 18 million people. Many high-quality pieces of content have been reposted by authoritative platforms such as China Maritime, China Transportation, China News Service, People's Daily, the All-China Women's Federation's Weibo, and the Tianjin Municipal Publicity Department.
Care for Sailors: Safeguarding Safety on the Water
From using the Maritime Connect APP to handling certificates, from fraud prevention reminders to rights protection, special columns such as "100 Things Sailors Need to Know" and "Xiaobei Policy Interpretation" use the "Xiaobei" IP as the core to deliver practical information and dismantle scam tactics in ways that sailors find appealing. These have become "must-read practical guides before job hunting" for sailors. A documentary video on the emergency rescue of a sailor with a sudden illness at sea, co-produced by the team, the Caofeidian Maritime Bureau, and the Tianjin Navigation Marker Office, was broadcast on the CCTV platform and reposted by many authoritative media outlets, vividly showcasing the social responsibility of maritime navigation support in serving the people.
Deeply Cultivating Culture: Enriching the Foundation of Navigation Support
The team goes deep into the frontlines, bringing navigation support culture from within the industry to the public eye. They launched the special column "100 Lighthouse Stories," uncovering the historical heritage and dedication of navigation support personnel behind the lighthouses. Centered on the "Xiaowu" IP, they introduced the series "One Minute to Unveil the Secrets of Maritime Navigation Support," building an interactive bridge between historical heritage, industry knowledge, and public awareness. The team co-created the "Moye Island Lighthouse" video with the Ma Weidu team; collaborated with Tianjin Fire Department to promote fire safety knowledge aboard the "Haixun 156" vessel, reaching over a million people; participated in the Ministry of Transport's "Warm Journey" Spring Festival travel new media panoramic live broadcast; and independently conducted the "Lighthouse Broadcast" World Oceans Day themed live stream, enhancing societal recognition of the navigation support industry.
Chasing Dreams in Youth: Empowering with Media Integration
In just one year, Beibao Media Integration has practiced the soft power of empowering core responsibilities, becoming the "amplifier" and "connector" of maritime navigation support. This youthful team, guided by their original aspirations and driven by hard work, continues to convey the voice of maritime navigation support with professionalism, freshness, and warmth, both on the waves and in front of screens. They contribute to accelerating the construction of a strong transportation nation and the high-quality development of maritime navigation support, ensuring safe voyages every time.
